Scenario: Neon Sign Maintenance

Neon signs provide one of the best methods of promoting a company's image and/or products. After sundown, radiant neon signs cut through the darkness to attract the attention of passers-by. Moreover, they help to broaden product exposure and strengthen the company's marketing strategy.

Although there are clearly many benefits to using neon signs, along with them come a number of difficulties, particularly in regards to maintenance. As neon signs are often dispersed across multiple locations, it is difficult to know the status of any one of them at any given time. If one of them isn't functioning correctly, then the company won't be able to take advantage of its benefits. Furthermore, it reflects on how people see the company's products and even the company itself.

Required Functionality:

	Use a single standalone network video camera for the most convenience and flexibility, as it can be installed anywhere.
	If installed outdoors, it can be enclosed in waterproof external housing that can be fitted with a fan and/or a heater to maintain a suitable operating temperature.
	It is hoped that by using a standalone network video camera the neon signs can be remotely monitored so that if anything should happen to one of them, it will be promptly noticed and the appropriate measures can be taken to correct the situation.
